75mm Studio is a premier digital archiving and spatial scanning company based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. We specialize in transforming physical environments into highly accurate, interactive 3D digital assets. With the rapid advancement of digital media, the demand for photorealistic 3D assets has never been higher. We utilize state-of-the-art LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) scanners and advanced photogrammetry pipelines to capture the precise geometry and texture of complex production sets, cultural heritage sites, and urban landscapes. Our mission is to build a comprehensive global K-Content digital archive platform, preserving iconic locations and transforming them into multi-purpose digital assets.

Core Technologies & Workflow

Terrestrial LiDAR Scanning

LiDAR scanning is the foundation of our spatial data acquisition. By emitting millions of laser pulses per second, our industrial-grade scanners capture millimeter-accurate spatial measurements. This results in dense point clouds that serve as the geometric blueprint for all subsequent 3D modeling. Unlike traditional surveying, LiDAR allows us to rapidly capture highly complex geometry, such as intricate movie sets or natural terrain, with zero physical contact.

Advanced Photogrammetry

While LiDAR provides structural accuracy, photogrammetry delivers visual realism. We cross-reference our laser scan data with thousands of high-resolution optical images. Through sophisticated computational algorithms, we extract precise color and texture information to generate ultra-realistic 3D meshes. This hybrid approach ensures that our digital twins are not only dimensionally exact but also visually indistinguishable from the real world.

Gaussian Splatting

To allow stakeholders to navigate scanned environments in real-time, we employ next-generation neural rendering techniques like 3D Gaussian Splatting. This bleeding-edge technology synthesizes novel views from captured images, allowing for photorealistic, real-time exploration of the site without the massive computational overhead of traditional rendering pipelines.

UAV (Drone) Mapping

For large-scale environments, we integrate aerial photography using commercial UAVs. This eliminates blind spots that ground-based scanners cannot reach, such as rooftops or high architectural details, ensuring a complete and unbroken topographical context.
